Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Projects Engineer to join a busy mechanical contractor working on projects across the UK, including schools, hospitals and residential projects. This is a varied role involving both project/site management and hands-on mechanical work. The Role Assist with managing projects from start to finish. Work closely with the Contracts Manager and site teams. Coordinate subcontractors and monitor progress. Manage workmanship, quality and site activities. Liaise with clients and contractors. Carry out site visits and surveys. Assist with project planning and programmes. Support commissioning and handover. Manage snagging and defects through to completion. Ensure RAMS, health & safety and CDM requirements are followed. Identify and report variations and additional works. Carry out hands-on mechanical installation, repairs and alterations when required. Use hand and power tools as part of the role. Attend sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays and night work when required. About You Experienced in mechanical installation and/or project engineering. Strong practical mechanical knowledge. Comfortable working on site and managing subcontractors. Good communication and organisational skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant mechanical qualifications and site tickets are advantageous. CSCS, IPAF, PASMA and other relevant tickets would be beneficial. Willing to travel and stay away when required.41bf1e1f-b16b-4260-a40a-17c77a06fd15
