About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and organized Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role is central to overseeing the successful execution of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with design teams, suppliers, and manufacturing personnel, managing all phases of the project lifecycle. This hybrid role requires effective communication and collaboration, balancing individual responsibilities with team objectives in an office-based setting for key project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate mechanical engineering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring all objectives are met.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against them.
• Liaise with clients, design engineers, and external vendors to define project scope and requirements.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and components, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
• Monitor project performance, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, both in-person and remotely.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in project management within a mechanical engineering context.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and project management methodologies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools is advantageous for this hybrid role .
