Mechanical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Mechanical Project Engineer to join their engineering team in Wolverhampton . This role requires a blend of technical engineering knowledge and strong project management skills to oversee the successful delivery of mechanical projects from inception to completion. Operating within a hybrid model, you will balance on-site project coordination with remote planning and analysis. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project schedules , risk assessments, and resource allocation plans.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience (3+ years ) in project engineering or a similar project management role within an engineering context.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment, both on-site and remotely.
