Mechanical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and execute diverse mechanical engineering projects in Manchester . You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from planning and resource allocation to execution and final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles and excellent leadership capabilities, working within a collaborative and results-oriented environment dedicated to delivering innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage resources effectively.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure seamless project progression.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in project management within a mechanical engineering context.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
