Mechanical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and results-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer to join their engineering department on a contract basis. This role will be predominantly remote, allowing for a flexible working arrangement while contributing to critical projects. You will be responsible for managing and executing various mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
• Develop and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation using project management tools.
• Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Conduct site visits and progress reviews, adhering to safety protocols.
• Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in project management within an engineering context.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, design principles, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
