Location: London / Dartford Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + package Sector: Building Services / MEP
We are working with a leading MEP / Building Services contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing Projects Division.
The business delivers a range of technically challenging mechanical projects, with a strong pipeline across commercial fit-out and healthcare/NHS environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking to join an established contractor with long-term career progression and a strong order book.
The Role
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
Key responsibilities
- Managing mechanical projects from £500k–£10m+
- Overall responsibility for programme, commercial performance and delivery
- Managing project teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Coordinating mechanical services with electrical, construction and other trades
- Managing design development and technical coordination
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project programmes
- Attending client, design and progress meetings
- Managing variations, valuations and project costs
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification
- Overseeing commissioning, snagging and final handover
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
About You
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in building services and either commercial fit-out or NHS/healthcare projects.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager
- Strong mechanical building services / MEP background
- Commercial fit-out or NHS/healthcare experience
- Experience managing projects from £500k upwards
- Strong understanding of mechanical services, design and installation
- Experience managing subcontractors and project teams
- Good commercial and contractual awareness
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- SMSTS and relevant mechanical qualifications
