Job Description
Quality isn't about finding problems at the end. It's about making sure they never get that far. If “right first time” is how you approach a project, this could be your next move.
Join an established national M&E contractor where quality is integral to delivering complex projects across residential and commercial sectors.
As Mechanical Quality Manager, you'll take ownership of quality throughout the entire project lifecycle—from planning and construction through to handback—working alongside project teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to make sure standards are not only met, but embedded.
🔍 Drive “right first time” – translate the quality strategy into practical project plans, procedures and controls.
Influence the supply chain – lead quality forums, oversee subcontractor assurance and ensure teams are ready for major construction events.
Solve problems properly – investigate quality failures, conduct surveillance and audits, and identify issues before they impact customer satisfaction.
Build your career – whether you're a qualified Building Services Engineer or have progressed from the tools into management, you'll have genuine opportunities to develop and progress.
We're looking for someone confident, ambitious and self-motivated, with proven experience implementing quality systems within a multi-disciplinary construction environment.
- Manage and maintain quality assurance processes across scope of mechanical installation works.
- Carry out inspections and ensure works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
- Produce and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Complete and maintain quality records and inspection documentation.
- Monitor installation quality and identify non-conformances.
- Raise, manage and close out NCRs where required.
- Coordinate inspections with Construction Managers, Engineers and subcontractors.
- Review installation documentation and technical information.
- Support snagging, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
- Ensure quality documentation is completed accurately and maintained throughout the project.
- Assist with internal and client quality audits.
- Work closely with the wider project team to drive high standards of installation and workmanship.
Don't just inspect quality. Take ownership of it—and help create a culture where getting it right first time becomes the standard
