Medical Science Liaison - Cardiovascular

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with a specialization in Cardiovascular disease to cover the Liverpool region. In this field-based role, you will be a key scientific expert, building and maintaining relationships with leading healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and research institutions. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate complex scientific and clinical information about our client's therapeutic areas and products in an accurate, balanced, and compliant manner, serving as a vital link between the company and the scientific community. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to operate at the intersection of science, medicine, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals within the cardiovascular therapeutic area.
• Present complex scientific and clinical data on company products and relevant disease states in a clear, accurate, and compliant manner.
• Act as a scientific expert, responding to unsolicited requests for information from healthcare professionals.
• Gather insights from the field regarding treatment practices, unmet medical needs, and competitive intelligence, and communicate these internally.
• Support clinical trial activities, including investigator identification and support for trial sites.
• Participate in medical education programs, advisory boards, and scientific congresses.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MSc) in a relevant life science discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an MSL or in a similar scientific engagement role within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on cardiovascular .
• Deep understanding of cardiovascular disease mechanisms, treatments, and the clinical research landscape.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with scientific and clinical experts.
• Strong understanding of compliance regulations and ethical standards governing medical affairs.
