Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Oncology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with a specialization in Oncology to cover the Southampton and surrounding areas. This hybrid role requires frequent travel to engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs), balanced with remote-based administrative and strategic planning activities. You will serve as a crucial scientific and clinical expert, facilitating the exchange of complex medical information regarding our client's oncology portfolio. Your role is integral to building strong relationships within the medical community and advancing the understanding and appropriate use of our innovative therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other healthcare professionals in the oncology therapeutic area.
• Deliver scientific and clinical presentations on complex data and therapeutic areas to internal and external audiences.
• Gather and communicate insights from KOLs and the medical community back to internal R&D, Medical Affairs, and Marketing teams.
• Support the planning and execution of medical affairs strategies and initiatives within the designated territory.
• Serve as a scientific resource for colleagues, providing accurate and up-to-date medical information.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or medical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or in a similar medical affairs role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Deep understanding of the oncology landscape, including current treatment paradigms and unmet medical needs.
• Proven ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical information effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills, with a strong ability to travel.
