Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their dynamic medical affairs team, covering the South West region with a hybrid work arrangement, based in or near Plymouth . This key role serves as a scientific and clinical expert, building and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the medical community. You will be responsible for disseminating scientific information, gathering insights on disease states and therapeutic areas, and supporting the company's medical strategy through expert engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and other healthcare professionals in assigned therapeutic areas.
• Deliver accurate and comprehensive scientific and clinical information on company products and therapeutic areas.
• Gather insights from KOLs on unmet medical needs, clinical practice, and emerging scientific trends.
• Support clinical trial activities, including site identification, investigator engagement, and data dissemination.
• Present scientific data at medical congresses, advisory boards, and internal meetings.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MSc) in a life science or healthcare-related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison, Medical Affairs, or related role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of a specific therapeutic area relevant to the company's portfolio.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with Key Opinion Leaders and present complex scientific information.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and occasionally nationally/internationally.
