Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to cover the South West region, including Plymouth . In this critical field-based role, you will serve as a key scientific and medical expert for our client's innovative therapeutic areas, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and research institutions. You will disseminate complex scientific information, gather insights from the medical community, and support the company's medical strategy. This position requires strong scientific acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships within the medical and scientific community across Plymouth and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, investigators, and healthcare providers in assigned therapeutic areas.
• Disseminate accurate, balanced, and scientific information on company products and disease states.
• Gather medical insights from KOLs and healthcare professionals to inform clinical strategy and research efforts.
• Identify potential investigators and sites for clinical trials and research collaborations.
• Support medical education initiatives and scientific exchange programs.
• Present scientific data at medical congresses, symposia, and advisory board meetings.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, Ph.D.) in a relevant life science discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical affairs, clinical research, or a related pharmaceutical role, with MSL experience strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of specific therapeutic areas relevant to the company's portfolio.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with key medical experts and build scientific rapport.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including to Plymouth and surrounding regions.
