Medical Science Liaison - Oncology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and dynamic Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Oncology to cover the South West region, including Plymouth . This field-based role is critical in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and research institutions. You will serve as a scientific expert, disseminating complex clinical and scientific information about our client's oncology portfolio, and gathering valuable insights from the medical community to inform research and development strategies. This hybrid role requires significant travel within the territory, supported by remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with KOLs and HCPs to discuss scientific and clinical data related to oncology therapies.
• Present complex scientific information accurately and effectively in various settings.
• Gather and report insights from the medical community regarding treatment patterns, unmet needs, and competitive intelligence.
• Support clinical trial activities, including investigator-initiated studies and data generation initiatives.
• Act as a scientific resource for internal teams, including Medical Affairs, R&D, and Commercial.
• Ensure all interactions and activities comply with relevant industry codes and regulations.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D.) in a relevant scientific or medical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a similar medical affairs role.
• Deep understanding of oncology therapeutic areas and clinical research.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the medical community.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
