Medical Science Liaison - Oncology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to cover the Scotland region, focusing on their innovative oncology portfolio. In this field-based role, you will serve as a vital scientific and medical expert, building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and research institutions. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate complex scientific and clinical data, gather insights, and support the appropriate use of pharmaceutical products. This is a critical role for advancing medical understanding and patient care within the pharmaceutical industry in Scotland .

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest scientific and clinical data related to oncology therapies.
• Present complex clinical trial results and scientific information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Gather insights from KOLs and the medical community regarding treatment practices, unmet needs, and emerging research trends.
• Support clinical trial activities, including site identification and investigator support, in alignment with medical strategy.
• Serve as a scientific resource for internal teams, including clinical development, medical affairs, and marketing.
• Attend and present at relevant medical congresses and scientific meetings, representing the company and disseminating important medical information.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in a relevant life science discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a similar medical affairs role within the pharmaceutical industry .
• Deep understanding of the oncology therapeutic area, including disease mechanisms, treatment paradigms, and clinical trial methodologies.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key medical experts and healthcare providers.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated understanding of compliance and regulatory guidelines governing medical affairs activities in the UK.
