Medical Science Liaison - Plymouth

About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to cover the South West England region, based out of Plymouth . This is a field-based role requiring significant travel, focused on building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals within the pharmaceutical and medical community. You will be responsible for disseminating scientific and clinical information about specific therapeutic areas and company products, gathering insights, and supporting scientific exchange. This is a critical interface role, bridging the company's research and clinical development with the external medical community.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers to discuss scientific and clinical data related to company products and therapeutic areas.
• Present complex scientific and clinical information effectively and accurately to diverse audiences.
• Gather and relay relevant market and scientific insights back to internal teams (e.g., R&D, Medical Affairs).
• Identify and support potential clinical research investigators and collaborative research opportunities.
• Represent the company at scientific congresses, symposia, and advisory board meetings.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with relevant industry codes and company policies.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MSc) in a relevant life science discipline.
• Proven experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a similar medical affairs role.
• Strong understanding of specific therapeutic areas relevant to the company's portfolio.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory (approx. 70-80% travel).
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with medical and scientific experts.
