About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and precise Medical Writer to join their expanding communications team, offering remote working options with occasional visits to their Derby office. This role is essential for producing high-quality scientific and medical documentation for various audiences, including regulatory bodies, healthcare professionals, and patients. Key Responsibilities
- Author, edit, and review a variety of medical documents, including clinical study reports, regulatory submission documents, scientific publications, and patient information leaflets.
- Interpret complex scientific and clinical data and translate it into clear, concise, and accurate written content.
- Ensure all medical documents adhere to company style guides, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including medical experts, regulatory affairs, and R&D, to gather necessary information.
- Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality documents.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant therapeutic areas, scientific advancements, and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, English with science focus).
- Proven experience as a Medical Writer, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Excellent command of the English language, with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of clinical research processes, regulatory affairs, and scientific principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with medical/scientific terminology.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
