Medical Writer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and precise Medical Writer to join their medical affairs team, serving the Sheffield area. This role is responsible for the creation of high-quality scientific and medical documentation for regulatory, clinical, and educational purposes. You will translate complex scientific data into clear, concise, and accurate documents, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines. This hybrid position allows for remote work flexibility while requiring occasional office presence for team collaboration and meetings, ensuring effective communication and contribution to key projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and review a variety of medical documents, including clinical study reports (CSRs), manuscripts, abstracts, and regulatory submission documents.
• Ensure all documentation is scientifically accurate, clear, concise, and compliant with relevant guidelines (e.g., ICH, GXP).
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, including physicians, scientists, and statisticians, to gather information.
• Manage document production timelines and deliverables.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of style guides and templates for medical writing.
• Review and revise documents authored by other team members or external contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life science, health science, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical writing, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Proficiency in writing clinical study reports (CSRs) and other regulatory documents.
• Strong understanding of clinical research processes and regulatory guidelines.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
