Are you a graduate in Psychology, Counselling, Education, Criminology or a related subject? A supportive primary school in Didcot is looking for a caring and motivated Mental Health Assistant to join its specialist Resource Base.
This is a great opportunity for a Mental Health Assistant to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with SEN and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The role
As a Mental Health Assistant, you'll support pupils from Reception to Year 6 who may experience:
Autism and ADHD Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties Trauma-related behaviours SEMH needs Barriers to learning and social developmentYou'll help pupils manage emotions, develop resilience, build confidence and establish positive relationships.
