About the Role

Our client is looking for a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join their dedicated, fully remote support team serving individuals in Cardiff and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one support sessions via video calls, phone, and secure messaging to individuals with mental health needs.
• Develop, implement, and review individualised support and recovery plans in collaboration with clients and the wider support network.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support when required, adhering to established protocols.
• Educate clients on coping mechanisms, self-management strategies, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records and progress notes in line with organisational policies and GDPR.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development training.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience working within mental health support services.
• Excellent active listening, empathy, and communication skills, adapted for remote interactions.
• Proficiency with video conferencing software and electronic record-keeping systems.
• Solid understanding of mental health legislation, safeguarding procedures, and ethical practice.
• Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
