About the Role
Our client is seeking a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Support Worker to join their team in Belfast . You will provide essential support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, helping them to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. This role involves working closely with service users to understand their needs, implement support plans, and encourage engagement with community resources. Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to individuals with mental health conditions.
- Assist service users in developing and achieving personal goals as outlined in their support plans.
- Encourage and facilitate social inclusion and community participation.
- Monitor service user well-being and report any concerns to the appropriate manager.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of support provided.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals involved in the service user's care.
Requirements
- Experience in a mental health or social care setting is essential.
- Understanding of mental health conditions and recovery principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, in Belfast .
- Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Health and Social Care are advantageous.
