About the Role
Our client is seeking empathetic and resilient Mental Health Support Workers to join their team in Belfast . You will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate care and practical assistance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, supporting their recovery journey and promoting well-being. Working within a community-focused framework, you will help clients build confidence, develop coping mechanisms, and integrate more fully into society. This role requires a sensitive approach and a commitment to delivering person-centered support in Northern Ireland .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to individuals, assisting with daily living and emotional well-being.
- Develop and implement personalized support plans in collaboration with clients and healthcare professionals.
- Encourage engagement in therapeutic activities and community reintegration programs.
- Monitor clients' mental health status, identifying potential risks and reporting concerns promptly.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
Requirements
- Previous experience in mental health support or a related field is essential.
- Understanding of common mental health conditions and recovery principles.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is advantageous for working in Belfast .
