About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join their fully remote team, serving individuals across Belfast . This critical role focuses on providing vital support, encouragement, and practical assistance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, empowering them to manage their conditions and improve their overall well-being. You will be a key point of contact, offering empathetic listening and guidance through various digital communication channels, fostering a sense of hope and recovery within a supportive, remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one emotional support and therapeutic interventions via phone, video calls, and messaging.
- Assisting clients in developing coping strategies and recovery action plans.
- Helping clients to access and engage with community mental health resources and services.
- Monitoring client progress, identifying potential risks, and reporting concerns to the senior team.
- Facilitating online group support sessions and psycho-educational workshops.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in accordance with data protection regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a mental health support role, ideally within a community or remote setting.
- Knowledge of various mental health conditions and recovery-oriented practices.
- Excellent active listening and communication skills, with a high degree of empathy.
- Proficiency in using video conferencing software, CRM systems, and other remote working tools.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.
