Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to individuals with mental health conditions, promoting their recovery and independence.
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, including managing appointments, medication, and personal care as needed.
- Facilitate engagement in therapeutic activities, social skills development, and community reintegration.
- Offer emotional support and act as a key point of contact for clients and their families.
- Monitor client progress, document observations, and report any concerns to the relevant mental health professionals.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective care delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in mental health support or a related care role is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions and recovery principles.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills, with empathy and patience.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and mental health legislation.
