Key Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and test new recipes and menu items for diverse catering needs.
- Create detailed recipe specifications , including ingredient lists, preparation methods, and plating instructions.
- Analyze food costs and optimize recipes for profitability without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align menu development with strategic goals.
- Stay abreast of current food trends, dietary preferences, and competitor offerings.
- Document and present new menu concepts to stakeholders for approval.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a menu development role, preferably within catering.
- Strong culinary skills with a broad understanding of various cuisines and cooking techniques.
- Excellent understanding of food costing, portion control, and nutritional information.
