About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and visually oriented Merchandising Manager to lead their product presentation efforts within the FMCG sector in Norwich . This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective merchandising strategies that maximize product visibility, drive sales, and enhance the shopper experience across various retail channels. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and category management teams to create compelling product displays and ensure brand consistency on shelf. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of retail dynamics, visual merchandising principles, and the nuances of the fast-moving consumer goods market. This is a crucial role in driving point-of-purchase success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies that optimize product placement, visibility, and sales performance.
- Create planograms and visual merchandising guidelines for product categories across different retail formats.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align merchandising efforts with promotional campaigns and new product launches.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improved product presentation and category growth.
- Manage relationships with external vendors for the production and installation of POS materials and displays.
- Train and guide field sales teams on effective merchandising execution and best practices in Norwich and surrounding regions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Merchandising Manager or in a similar role within the FMCG industry .
- Strong understanding of retail operations, visual merchandising principles, and consumer purchasing behavior.
- Excellent spatial reasoning, creativity, and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into effective merchandising plans.
- Proficiency in merchandising software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
