Our client is seeking an experienced and decisive Mine Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of their mining operations based near Newcastle upon Tyne . This senior leadership role demands a strong understanding of mining processes, safety regulations, and team management. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and profitable extraction of resources while managing budgets, personnel, and equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational plans to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
• Manage and mentor a diverse team of mining personnel, fostering a culture of safety and high performance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in mine operations management , with a proven track record of successful leadership.
• Comprehensive knowledge of underground or surface mining techniques and technologies.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to the mining sector .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Mining Engineering, Mine Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience with mine planning software and production reporting systems is highly desirable.
