Mine Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and results-driven Mine Operations Manager to lead their mining activities near Oxford . You will be responsible for the overall safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the mine, overseeing all aspects of production, personnel, and resource management. This leadership role requires strategic thinking, strong operational acumen, and a commitment to fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety and productivity. You will play a critical part in achieving operational targets and ensuring the sustainable development of the mine's resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day mining operations, including production, maintenance, and safety.
• Develop and execute strategic operational plans aligned with company objectives and resource models.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial performance targets are met.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mine supervisors, engineers, and operational staff.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mine operations management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex mining operations.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Expertise in mine planning, production optimization, and HSE management.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK and available for full-time, on-site work near Oxford .
