About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Mine Operations Manager to lead their operations near Oxford . This senior leadership role is responsible for the overall management of all mining activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable extraction of resources. You will oversee daily operations, manage departmental budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all day-to-day mining operations, including production, maintenance, and safety departments.
• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to meet production targets and financial objectives.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and operational staff.
• Oversee the effective utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, local communities, and senior management.

Requirements

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mining operations management.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale mining operations and diverse teams.
• In-depth knowledge of various mining methods, equipment, and technologies.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
