About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all aspects of underground or surface mining operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling.
• Develop and implement operational plans to meet production targets, quality standards, and budgetary requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Oversee the maintenance and effective utilization of mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of supervisors, operators, and support staff, fostering a safety-first culture.
• Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of mining methods, equipment, and safety best practices.
• Proven track record of managing operational budgets and achieving production targets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with mine planning software and production reporting systems is desirable.
