You will utilize advanced software to create short-term and long-term mine plans, optimize resource extraction, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term mine plans using specialized planning software.
- Optimize mine layouts, production schedules, and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and economic analyses for new mining areas and expansions.
- Ensure mine plans comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with geological, survey, and operations teams to integrate data and ensure plan accuracy.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and visualizations of mine plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in mine planning or mine engineering roles.
- Proficiency with mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, or similar.
- Strong understanding of mining methods, geology, and surveying principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and visualization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
