About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and vigilant Mine Safety Inspector to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across their operations near Wolverhampton, West Midlands . Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections of mine sites, equipment, and working practices to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.

• Develop and implement safety training programs for all levels of mine personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all national and local health and safety legislation related to mining.

Requirements

• Significant experience in mine safety management or inspection, with a strong regulatory background.
• In-depth knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and associated hazards.
• Certification or qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent).
• Excellent understanding of relevant mining safety legislation and best practices.
• Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
