About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor to join their operations based in Wolverhampton . This role is essential for accurately mapping and monitoring underground and surface mine workings, ensuring compliance with planning and regulatory requirements. You will utilize advanced surveying equipment and techniques to collect precise data, creating detailed maps and models of mine sites. This is a critical role for maintaining operational integrity and supporting planning decisions within the mining sector in the West Midlands , contributing to safe and efficient resource extraction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct precise surveys of underground and surface mine workings, boundaries, and infrastructure.
• Utilize advanced surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Process and analyze survey data to create accurate mine plans, sections, and 3D models.
• Monitor ground movement and subsidence, reporting any significant changes.
• Ensure survey data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and geologists to provide survey support for mine planning and operations in Wolverhampton .

Requirements

• Qualified Mine Surveyor with relevant certification or degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mine surveying, both underground and surface.
• Proficiency with modern surveying instruments and associated software (e.g., AutoCAD, 3D modelling software).
• Strong understanding of geological structures and mining methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and data management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a technical team in the West Midlands .
