About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Mine Surveyor to join their operations team based in Brighton . This role is essential for accurately mapping and measuring the mine site, ensuring precise control over excavations, and monitoring ground movement. You will work closely with engineers and geologists to provide critical spatial data that underpins safe and efficient mining operations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed topographical and cross-sectional surveys of the mine site, both surface and underground.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks using advanced surveying equipment and techniques.
• Monitor ground stability and deformation, reporting any significant changes or risks.
• Prepare accurate survey plans, maps, and reports for engineering and operational use.
• Collaborate with engineers to delineate mine boundaries, establish drilling locations, and set out infrastructure.
• Ensure all survey data is accurately recorded, processed, and archived.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Surveying or Geomatics.
• Proven experience as a Mine Surveyor or in a similar role within the mining or construction industry.
• Proficiency with modern surveying instruments, including total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.
• Experience with CAD software and GIS applications for data processing and visualization.
• Strong understanding of geological formations and their impact on surveying.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and record-keeping.
