About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Mine Surveyor to join their operations in Edinburgh . This role is essential for accurately mapping underground and surface mine workings, ensuring precise measurements for planning and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys of underground and surface mine workings, establishing control points and monitoring deformation.
• Prepare detailed maps, plans, and cross-sections of mine sites and geological features.
• Use advanced surveying instruments, including total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Calculate volumes of ore, waste, and material stockpiles.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all survey data and records.
• Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and site management to provide essential spatial information.

Requirements

• Qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor or in a similar role.
• Proficiency with surveying software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Surpac.
• Experience using mining survey equipment and associated technologies.
• Strong understanding of mine layout, excavation, and safety principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
