About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Mine Ventilation Engineer to join their team near Norwich . This crucial role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing effective ventilation systems to ensure a safe and healthy underground working environment. You will analyze air quality, temperature, and humidity, and develop strategies to control contaminants and optimize airflow. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mine ventilation principles and a commitment to maintaining superior safety standards in underground operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and optimize mine ventilation systems to ensure adequate airflow and air quality.
• Conduct ventilation surveys, air sampling, and environmental monitoring underground.
• Analyze ventilation data to identify potential hazards, such as gas accumulation or high dust levels.
• Specify and select appropriate ventilation equipment, including fans, ducting, and regulators.
• Develop and implement ventilation plans in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate with mine planning and safety teams to integrate ventilation strategies into overall mine design and operation near Norwich .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with a specialization in ventilation.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mine ventilation engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of mine ventilation principles, airflow dynamics, and environmental monitoring techniques.
• Proficiency with ventilation modeling software (e.g., Ventsim, VentGraph).
• Experience in developing and implementing ventilation surveys and plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on-site.
