About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Mineral Processing Engineer to join their operations in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK . This role is central to optimizing the recovery of valuable minerals from extracted ore. You will be responsible for the design, operation, and improvement of mineral processing plants, focusing on efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of metallurgical principles, comminution, flotation, and other separation techniques relevant to the mining industry . This position offers a significant opportunity to apply technical expertise in a practical, production-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot mineral processing circuits, including crushing, grinding, classification, and separation processes.
- Optimize plant operations to maximize mineral recovery and product quality while minimizing costs and environmental impact.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot plant test work to evaluate new processing technologies and improvements.
- Monitor plant performance, analyze data, and recommend operational adjustments or modifications.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the processing plant.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral processing plant design, operation, or optimization.
- Proven expertise in various mineral processing techniques (e.g., flotation, leaching, gravity separation).
- Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement in plant performance.
