Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of mine operations, including production, exploration, and development activities.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance targets are met.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of mining professionals, engineers, and operational staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and mining regulations.
- Implement and monitor operational improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in progressive operational management roles within the mining industry.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale mining operations and teams.
- Strong understanding of mine planning , production optimization, and asset management.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
