Job Description
Job Title: Field service engineer
Basic Salary: £33,000 - £37,000
OTE: £39,188 – £50,875
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, 40hrs
Due to an increasing workload, we are recruiting for a forklift engineer – you will be working for a well-established, employee-focused forklift and material handling company.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure all equipment remains fully compliant
Completing safety checks and pre-delivery inspections
Responding to breakdowns and conducting reactive maintenance to reduce customer downtime
Effectively organising and managing your workload and service schedule
Accurately filling out service reports and job sheets
Communicating with parts departments to ensure the correct components are sourced and installed
What you’ll need:
Experience as a Forklift engineer / Material handling mechanic / Plant Fitter or similar
Proven experience of diesel engines
Strong experience with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic skills
Full UK driving licence
Your Package:
Basic Salary: £33,000 - £37,000
OTE: £39,188 – £43,938 (based on 5 hours' overtime per week)
OTE: £45,375 – £50,875 (based on 10 hours' overtime per week)
Overtime paid at 1.5x
Company pension scheme
25 days holiday plus bank (increasing with service)
Company van fuel card provided
