Mobile Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage radio access network (RAN) components and core mobile network elements.
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize coverage, capacity, and quality.
• Perform troubleshooting and fault resolution for mobile network incidents, ensuring minimal service disruption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network planning, upgrades, and new technology integration (e.g., 5G SA, network slicing).
• Ensure network security best practices are implemented and maintained across the mobile infrastructure.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and performance metrics accurately.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in mobile network engineering, with a focus on 3G, 4G/LTE, or 5G technologies.
• Strong understanding of RAN, core network architecture, and mobile protocols.
• Experience with network planning, optimization, and troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with cloud-native mobile network deployments is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote capacity, supporting a national network that includes areas like Bristol .
