Motion Graphics Designer - Animation & VFX

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and imaginative Motion Graphics Designer to join their creative team. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexible remote work alongside collaborative sessions at our Derby studio. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating dynamic motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for a variety of media, including promotional videos, digital advertisements, and explainer content. The ideal candidate possesses a keen artistic eye, a mastery of animation software, and the ability to translate complex ideas into visually compelling motion sequences, contributing to innovative storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and animate compelling motion graphics, character animations, and visual effects for various projects.
• Develop storyboards and concept art to visualize animation sequences and overall project flow.
• Collaborate closely with video editors, art directors, and clients to achieve the desired aesthetic and narrative impact.
• Ensure all motion graphics are optimized for intended platforms and resolutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and emerging technologies in motion graphics and animation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality work within deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Motion Graphics Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing animation and VFX work.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar 3D software.
• Solid understanding of animation principles, timing, and visual storytelling.
• Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a hybrid work environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
