Location: Kingston upon Hull Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 + Excellent Holidays + Pension + Training & Development

Are you a Motor Vehicle Technician or Mechanic with an IMI Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 qualification?

Do you want to move into a more structured, less pressured environment where you can pass on your skills and genuinely change young people's lives?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing independent specialist school that supports learners who don't thrive in mainstream education. With a strong focus on practical, hands-on learning, the organisation is committed to helping students rebuild confidence, develop real-world skills, and progress into positive futures.

You'll be part of a supportive and experienced team that values relationship-led teaching, small class sizes, and a personalised approach to learning. This is an environment where your industry experience is respected, and your ability to engage and inspire learners is what really counts.

In this role, you'll deliver a mix of practical and theory-based motor vehicle sessions, helping learners develop technical skills, employability, and positive attitudes toward work. You'll break down complex tasks into simple, accessible steps and support learners with a range of additional needs to re-engage with education.

The ideal candidate will come from a motor vehicle background and hold an IMI Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 qualification, alongside either a teaching/assessing qualification or a willingness to work towards one. More importantly, you'll be patient, adaptable, and motivated by the opportunity to make a real difference to learners who need a different approach to education.

This role offers a genuine career move away from the pressures of the workshop or garage environment into something far more stable, structured, and rewarding - while still keeping you connected to your trade.

• Teaching or assessing qualification (AET, TAQA, PGCE etc.) or willingness to work towards
• Experience working with young people or strong desire to transition into education
