Are you a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical fault finding skills and experience maintaining CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment?
MILO Recruit is working with an established engineering and manufacturing business in Stockport that is looking to strengthen its maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing operation where you'll play a key role in improving machinery reliability, reducing downtime and helping develop a more proactive approach to maintenance.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced maintenance team, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment, ensuring production runs efficiently and machinery performs at its best.
The position offers a good mixture of planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns, electrical fault finding and continuous improvement.
A key part of the role will involve helping the business move towards a more structured preventative maintenance approach, identifying recurring faults and implementing improvements that reduce equipment failures.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of manufacturing machinery, including CNC equipment and associated production systems.
You'll diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, working with PLC controlled equipment, inverters, drives, motors and machinery control systems.
You'll investigate equipment breakdowns, identify root causes and implement effective solutions to prevent recurring issues.
Working closely with the wider engineering and production teams, you'll contribute towards improving machine availability, reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
You'll also support maintenance planning, equipment inspections, spare parts management and continuous improvement activities.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in speaking with Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers who have a strong electrical bias and experience working within an industrial manufacturing environment.
You'll ideally have experience maintaining and fault finding on CNC machinery, although engineers with relevant experience on other complex manufacturing equipment will also be considered.
A good understanding of PLC systems, inverters, drives and electrical control systems is important, alongside the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
You'll be comfortable working independently, prioritising breakdowns and communicating effectively with production teams.
A recognised engineering qualification, ideally HNC or HND level in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, would be advantageous.
What's On Offer?
This is an opportunity to join a well established manufacturing business offering long term stability, varied engineering challenges and the chance to make a genuine difference to maintenance performance.
You'll be joining a supportive engineering team where your technical knowledge and ideas will be valued, with opportunities to contribute towards machinery improvements and preventative maintenance development.
If you're a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with electrical fault finding experience and enjoy working on complex manufacturing equipment, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
