Multi-Trade Operative - Permanent Position

We are recruiting for a permanent employed Multi-Trade Operative to join a well-established maintenance team working across a social housing portfolio in the Hastings area. This role involves carrying out responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and refurbishment works within both occupied and void properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day responsive repairs and maintenance

• Working within occupied and void social housing properties

• Completing refurbishment and remedial works

• Diagnosing faults and providing effective repair solutions

• Delivering high-quality workmanship with excellent customer service

• Using a PDA to manage and update jobs (training provided)

Essential Requirements

• Strong multi-trade experience across a variety of maintenance disciplines

• Competent in:

• Carpentry

• Plumbing

• Patch plastering

• General building repairs

• Experience working within tenanted properties

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Comfortable using handheld PDA technology

• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 (minimum) in a relevant trade

• Full UK Driving Licence

• DBS check (or willingness to undertake one)

• Right to work in the UK

Desirable

• Additional trade qualifications

• Social housing maintenance experience
