About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer to join their pioneering team in Edinburgh , contributing to the forefront of AI & Emerging Technologies . You will be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced NLP models and systems that enable machines to understand, interpret, and generate human language. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy robust NLP models for applications such as text classification, named entity recognition, topic modeling, and question answering.
• Develop and refine algorithms for language understanding, sentiment analysis, summarization, and machine translation.
• Process and analyze large volumes of textual data, ensuring data quality and preparing it for model training.
• Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to integrate NLP capabilities into products and services.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in NLP and machine learning, applying new techniques where appropriate.
• Evaluate and benchmark NLP model performance, optimizing for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field with a focus on NLP.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying NLP models and solutions.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with extensive experience using NLP libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, or similar.
• Solid understanding of deep learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) applied to NLP tasks.
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation for text data.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for working with language data.
