Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and technically adept Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst to join their critical monitoring team in Stoke-on-Trent . In this role, you will be responsible for the real-time monitoring of the company's telecommunications network, identifying and responding to alerts, and ensuring network stability and performance around the clock. You will act as the first line of defense against network issues, coordinating responses and escalating problems as needed. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using sophisticated monitoring tools.
• Respond promptly to network alerts and alarms, performing initial troubleshooting and diagnosis.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams or relevant engineers.
• Document all network incidents, actions taken, and resolutions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders during network events.
• Participate in shift work to provide 24/7 network coverage.

Requirements

• Experience in a NOC environment or similar IT support role.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and network hardware.
• Familiarity with network monitoring software (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and within a team structure in Stoke-on-Trent .
