Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst to join their operational team in Leeds . This hybrid role is crucial for maintaining the health and performance of their extensive network infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring network activity, identifying potential issues, and responding promptly to alerts to minimize disruption. Working within a dedicated NOC team, you'll play a key part in ensuring service uptime and customer satisfaction for a wide range of telecommunications services.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using specialized NOC tools.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network incidents and outages according to defined procedures.
• Escalate critical issues to senior engineers or relevant support teams when necessary.
• Document all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers regarding network status.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of NOC processes and documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a NOC or similar network monitoring role.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP , DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring software (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks during critical incidents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
