About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and technically adept Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst to join their team in Reading . In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring the health and performance of the company's telecommunications network infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and rapid response to any incidents. You will play a vital part in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our client's services, working within a structured shift pattern to provide 24/7 oversight. This position offers a great opportunity to develop expertise in network monitoring and incident management within the fast-paced telecoms industry .

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor network devices and services using advanced NOC tools to detect and diagnose potential issues.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents, initiating troubleshooting procedures and escalating as necessary.
• Document all network events, actions taken, and resolutions in the incident management system.
• Perform initial diagnostics and analysis of network performance anomalies and connectivity problems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and support teams to resolve complex network incidents.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of NOC procedures and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a network support or NOC role , preferably within telecommunications.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
