Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst to join their team in Manchester . In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring the health and performance of the company's extensive telecommunications network, identifying and resolving issues in real-time to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. You will work within a 24/7 operational environment, collaborating with engineers and support teams to maintain network stability and respond effectively to incidents. Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor network infrastructure using sophisticated NOC tools to detect anomalies and performance degradation.
• Respond promptly to network alerts, performing initial diagnostics and escalating issues to appropriate engineering teams as needed.
• Document all network events, incidents, and resolutions in a clear and concise manner within the ticketing system.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and configuration adjustments on network devices under supervision.
• Participate in shift rotations to provide round-the-clock network surveillance and support.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding network status and incident progress.

Requirements

• Experience working in a Network Operations Centre or a similar IT support role.
• Familiarity with network monitoring concepts and tools (e.g., SNMP, SolarWinds, Zabbix).
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals , including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and collaboration within the Manchester area.
