About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead their established childcare facility in Leicester . This pivotal role involves overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early years education and exceptional care for children aged 0-5. You will be responsible for managing a team of childcare professionals, fostering a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment, and maintaining strong relationships with parents and guardians. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of nursery operations, including staffing, budgets, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of nursery practitioners, providing effective supervision and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that promotes children's learning and development across all areas.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for all children, adhering to strict health and safety policies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies, fostering open communication and engagement.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to ensure the team is well-supported and highly effective.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Learning and Development, or equivalent. A management qualification is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a senior or management role within a nursery or early years setting.
- Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and relevant safeguarding legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
