About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead their early years setting in the heart of Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves overseeing all daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safety for children aged 0-5. You will be responsible for managing a passionate team of childcare professionals, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive and develop. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that meets all educational standards and promotes holistic child development.
• Manage and motivate a team of nursery practitioners, providing professional development opportunities and conducting regular performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safeguarding, health and safety policies, and inspection standards.
• Oversee the nursery's budget, manage admissions, and maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, fostering open communication and trust.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement policies to ensure a safe and secure environment for all children and staff.

Requirements

• A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Education (e.g., SVQ Level 4, BA in Childhood Practice, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a childcare setting.
• In-depth knowledge of child development, play-based learning, and curriculum frameworks relevant to Scotland .
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with a strong ability to lead and inspire a team.
• A current PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) check or willingness to obtain one.
