About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Nursery Manager to lead a friendly and established nursery in Portsmouth . This leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, including staff management, curriculum development, compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of childcare. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can flourish and staff can develop professionally. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring high-quality care and education are delivered.
• Lead, support, and develop a team of nursery staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety.
• Develop and implement the curriculum, promoting best practices in early years education and child development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, guardians, and external agencies.

Requirements

• Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Proven experience in a management or senior role within a nursery or early years setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
